On Tuesday April 5th at around 1345 the Modena Fire Company was allerted along with Coatesville for Ladder, Westwood, Coatesville VA, Sadsburyville for a engine, Cochrenville for a rescue, and Keystone Valley for RIT to the Sealed Air Corporation in Modena Borough for the reported building fire.

Chester County 911 center received the call from the alarm company, the alarm company was receiving fire and water flow alarms, upon the alarm company calling the facility a worker answered the phone stating they had an active fire in the building and hung up.

Ambulance 37-2 was on scene within a minute reporting smoke showing from the loading docks, they witnessed Seal Air personnel fighting the fire with hand lines and they believed they had it extinguished.

Arriving crews checked for extension around the loading dock area and checked the rest of the facility to see if ventilation was needed.

The fire was placed under control and held to units on scene.

A tracker trailer had backed up to the loading dock and didn't shut off his marker lights these lights then caught the padding around the loading door on fire, the truck driver moved his truck away from the loading dock, however it to did sub stain minor damage.

This fire was held in check and basically extinguished by the workers of the Seal Air Corporation, Deputy Chief Willmott is and employee there and has been hard at work training on site personnel for these type emergency as well as updating fire equipment around the facility, his hard work showed as this crew on duty did a tremendous job keeping damage to a minimum.
