Serious Accident on Doe Run Road in East Fallowfield

On Thursday July 13, 2017 the Modena Fire Company was dispatched shortly after 1600 hours for an accident reported serious in front of 805 Doe Run Road in East Fallowfield.

Westwood Fire Company was mistakenly dispatched by Chester County to the incident 6 minutes prior Modena being alerted. Assistant 31(Reynolds) was in area and arrived on scene and was advising one vehicle v/s pole with everyone out.

Deputy 44 (Scott) arrived on scene and established Doe Run Road Command. Ambulance 44 arrived on scene and started patient care assisted by Rescue 44 crew. Ambulance 37-1 arrived and assisted 44 crews with additional patient care.

Engine 37-1 arrived on scene along with Chief 37 (Dowlin), Crews controlled hazards around vehicle and assisted EMS loading patients.
Peco, Verizon, and Comcast were all notified of the broken poles and loss of service in the area.

EMS units transported to local hospitals, Rescue 44 cleared the scene and command was transferred to Chief 37.

Fire Police from Modena and Westwood closed the road between Buck Run and Rokeby Roads, later barricades were placed at those intersections as the road would remain close for several hours.
