Accident with Entrapment in East Fallowfield

On Wednesday morning at 0549 the Modena Fire Company was dispatched to an auto accident with entrapment at Strasburg Road and Hepzibah Hill Road in East Fallowfield Township.

Assistant 37 (Bryant) responded and requested a rescue which added Rescue 44 along with Rescue 36 who was already on the road after clearing an incident in Unionville.

Battalion 37 arrived on the scene confirming a two vehicle accident with one patient trapped and established command.

Engine 37-1 (Squad 37)arrived at 0603. Once on arrival crew began to stabilize the vehicle before extrication of removing doors and roof. The two rescues arrived and their crews assisted the Modena crew.

Extrication was completed at 0618

Modena and Westwood EMS transported two patients to local hospitals for evaluation. Fire Police from all stations closed Strasburg Road during the incident.

All fire units cleared the scene at 0703 and the road was reopened after cars were removed by Flings Towing.
