On July 4th, 2024, Modena Fire Company along with mutual aid were dispatched to the unit block of Wood Street in South Coatesville Borough for a reported house fire.

Modena Fire Company and mutual aid units made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center of a stove fire and the house was filling with smoke. Chief 37 (Corle Jr.) arrived and reported a working fire and assumed command for this incident. Chief 37 requested a "Working Fire Dispatch" which added additional units to the assignment.

Engine 37 arrived as first due engine and Ladder 41 arrived as first due ladder, and their crews worked collaboratively to begin fire suppression efforts. As additional units arrived the command gave them their assignments. Interior crews discovered that the fire had extended to the adjoining structure and the fire was quickly extinguished in that structure. After extensive Salvage and overhaul operations of the involved structures, the fire was officially placed under control at 20:44. Ambulance 37-1 transported 1 civilian to an area hospital for an evaluation and Peco was requested to the scene to secure the electric to the structures
