Passing of William "Bill" Jenkins Sr.

It's with a heavy heart we announce the passing of William "Bill" Jenkins Sr.

Bill was a past trustee of the company and also serviced as a Lieutenant with the Fire Police .

The Officers and Members of the Modena Fire Company send or deepest condolences the his wife Virginia and the rest of the family.


Obituary Below:
William J. Jenkins Sr. of Coatesville

William “Bill” Jenkins passed away on December 17, 2022 at Chester County Hospital.

Bill was the loving husband to Virginia “Ginny” Nuse Jenkins and they shared 50 years of marriage.

Born on November 14, 1944 in Coatesville he was the son of the late William Thomas Jenkins and Dolores Jane Brooks Trice.

Bill worked for the Coatesville Water Authority for over 30 years before retiring.

He also was a Transporter for Beacon Para-transit, Transporter for Harrison House, and especially loved delivering flowers during the holidays for the Coatesville Flower Shop.

Bill dedicated his life of service early on as a fire fighter in Coatesville and then became a Fire Policeman and worked his way through the ranks as Captain of Westwood. He then served as a commissioner for many years for Chester County Fire Police Association, Lieutenant and Trustee for Modena, and finished his career as a Lieutenant of Fire Police for the Coatesville Fire Departments.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Charlene Salazar, Dawn Taylor, Michelle Weikel, William J. Jenkins Jr., Jason J. Jenkins, Matthew J. Jenkins, Brandon J. Jenkins; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; 12 brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday December 22, 2022 at 11:00 am with a time of visitation from 10:00 am till the service at the Maclean-Chamberlain Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery Coatesville, PA.
