Last Evening 6 members of the Modena Fire Company were treated to a flag football game with the Philadelphia Eagles in partnership with BELFOR property restorations at the Philadelphia Eagles NovaCare Complex.
BELFOR is committed to giving back to first responder around 100 Fire, EMS and Police attended tonight’s event. Everyone was split up into 4 teams and played two games of flag football, a great time was had by all.
The Philadelphia Eagles and the entire NFL are certainly committed as well to give back to the first responder especially after last years events on the field. Guest were greeted by SWOOP, the Eagles Cheerleaders, Former Players Ike Reese, Hollis Thomas and current offensive Tackle Jordan Mailata.
Ike and Hollis did a little coaching on the side lines while running up and down cheering everyone on. Jordan arrived and greeted people on the sidelines but couldn’t take standing there he garbed a belt and jumped in the game, as everyone from the eagles origination held the breath praying he didn’t get hurt, Jordan ran around playing like he was one of the guys in his back yard “it was awesome”.
Following the game Jordan spent 45 minutes at least taking pictures, signing autographs, and even face timing some family member of first responder. Jordan was down to earth guy and a class act.
First responder where given a boxed dinner and drinks before heading home.
THANK YOU to the Eagle organization, BELFOR property restorations and especially our man Beau Crowding for inviting us out for an amazing evening.
