On July 10th, at precisely 6:39 pm, the Modena Fire Company received an urgent call to assist the Coatesville Fire Department in responding to a building fire on 4th Avenue. Demonstrating their readiness and efficiency, the crews were mobilized and en route within two minutes of receiving the dispatch.
The response team included Engine 37-1, manned by a crew of six, Utility 37 with a team of five, and Deputy 37, led by Corle. Upon arrival, Deputy 37 assumed command of the situation, directing the operations.
The crew aboard Engine 37-1 promptly stretched a second line to combat the fire, while the team from Utility 37 conducted a thorough search of the building to ensure everyone's safety. The fire, which was primarily confined to the kitchen, was successfully controlled and extinguished.
In the aftermath, Modena's crews assisted with ventilation to clear the building of smoke and ensure it was safe. After an hour of diligent work on the scene, the Modena Fire Company was released from duty, leaving the site secure and the situation well-handled. |
