By Brandywine Ave Watch Desk
February 17, 2026

On Tuesday evening, February 17, Modena Fire Company and several mutual aid companies were dispatched at 1939 hours to a reported garage fire on S. Brandywine Avenue in Modena.

Engine 37 responded immediately, dropping a supply line from Hepzibah Hill Road and S. Brandywine Avenue and laying approximately 800 feet of hose to the structure. On arrival, crews found a detached two-bay garage with smoke showing from the eaves.

The crew from Engine 37 deployed a hand line and began interior operations, quickly putting water on the fire. Ladder 41 crews arrived and assisted with ventilation. The fire was brought under control quickly by the combined efforts of crews from Engine 37, Ladder 41, and others. Some mutual aid partners remained to assist with repacking the supply line before returning to their stations.

Fire marshals were called to the scene to investigate. Chief 37 and the fire marshals cleared the scene at 2143 hours.

Units: Engine 37, Tanker 37, Utility 37, Ambulance 37

Mutual Aid: 41, 38, 44, 39, 49
